This picture will support my visual argument because it shows that when looking at a Mercedes Benz car, you are more pulled towards getting this car than other cars like a KIA just because of the Title “Mercedes Benz” it is given but in reality the car’s appearance is not much better than the KIA in the other picture. I might manipulate this picture by placing a man next to the car who has a face expression of shock when looking at the Mercedes Benz car.

This picture supports my visual argument because it shows that car looks are not as important than who is inside the car driving and who is sitting in the passenger seat. I might manipulate this picture by having a bunch of people surround the car so that the car can barely be seen indicating that human beings are more important than objects.
This picture also supports my visual argument because it shows that there are many cars in the world parked next to you that are better or worse than your car so it really doesn’t matter what car you have all that matters is that it gets you from point A to point B. I might manipulate this picture by placing a rich American figure next to the car showing that you don’t have to have the best car to be an important person in society.

I think it’s a good concept but maybe you could also use more varying pictures. I know you’re going for similarities but each photo is mostly the same.

It’s difficult for me to respond without seeing these edits, so I can only go by the plans you suggest here. First, I am not sure what your overall argument is. People are drawn to the status of luxury cars; cars are not as important as people; important people can drive any car they wish? Or, it doesn’t matter what car you drive, it’s who you are that counts? I am not sure that is a very compelling argument. I am also curious about your plan to photoshop in a rich person in the final image. This may suggest that cars don’t figure into the importance of a person; but, you seem to contradict your own argument by equating material wealth with importance. As to your first image–I think you will have a difficult time arguing this subjective point. How are you going to provide evidence that Kia’s just as a good as a Mercedes (it actually looks like a BMW to me)?
I think you need to focus your argument into something more unified and pick a theme that more people can respond to. What critique can you make to reach people? Do you want to critique conspicuous consumption? Viable. But will photoshopping a group of random people into your images convey what you need to convey? You may have to use images from celebrities or the wealthy.
